Why we built Egidia: the agentic OS we wanted for our own businesses.

Product 9 min read By Julien Perez

Placeholder essay. Four founders, four companies, one shared frustration. Most "AI" tools draft text and wait. The rest automate workflows that someone wrote down in advance. Neither runs a business. We wanted a team of agents that take action, hold context across sessions, and meet to decide together — on our infrastructure, inside our boundary, with a signed record of every move.

What Egidia is, in one sentence.

Egidia is the operating system underneath a team of agents that do the work end to end. Four operator agents by default (PA, Operations, Comms, Finance), tiered memory, a Meeting Room for multi-agent decisions, and an audit log every regulator we've shown it to has nodded at.

Why we're building it in the EU.

Because the EU is where the rules are. The AI Act, GDPR, NIS2, DORA — the regulation that defines what's acceptable in a regulated business is written here. We'd rather build for that constraint from day one than retrofit it once the fines start.

"Sovereignty isn't a paperwork exercise. It's where the data lives."

The team that ships it.

Four cofounders. Julien (CAIO), Adrian (CTO), Steven (CCO), Kevin (COO). No CEO, by design. The Meeting Room is how we make decisions internally; Egidia is what we ship when that pattern works for software too.

This post is a placeholder. Full essay coming. In the meantime, see the category page for the positioning, or pricing for the four tiers.
